Visa free countries for Grenada passport holders
Grenada offers one of the most popular CBI programmes globally, which is with no doubt down to the fact it offers its citizens significant global mobility in terms of travel. Grenada’s passport is the 33rd most powerful passport globally, allowing access to over 144 countries worldwide. With that being said, we can identify several categories of countries for those holding a Grenadian passport; visa free, visa on arrival, and pre-approved visa. Therefore, it is essential to understand where one can travel and the visa requirements necessary for each country. We can clearly see this from the map, which illustrates this.
When talking about access to 144 countries, this means that holders of a Grenada passport can enter the country either visa-free or with a visa on arrival. The key difference between the two is that with visa-free access, there are no requirements or documents necessary, either before travelling or at the border, in order to get into these countries. With a visa on arrival, individuals will receive a visa once arriving at the country’s border.
What’s the key difference between Grenada’s offer and offers from other CBI countries? Grenada is the only one with visa-free access to China, Russia, Europe’s Schengen Area, and the UK. These are all important global business markets and hubs, a well as being one of only a few worldwide that has access to all of these areas.
Being a Commonwealth country lends itself to receiving numerous benefits, including staying in the UK for up to 6 months. However, it is good to point out that should that while Grendaians can visit the UK visa-free, they are subject to certain conditions, which they must prove at the border. This includes demonstrating the person is visiting for tourism, financially supporting themselves and their dependents, arranging for accommodation, and paying for return or onward journeys.
It is also worth noting that citizens of the Organisation of Caribbean States (OECS). have complete freedom of movement between member countries. This means that Grenadians will not only be able to visit these countries as much as they want for as long as they want, but they will also have the right to live and work in them. While the Grenadian passport does not provide visa-free access to the USA or Canada, the country stands out from other CBI programmes. It is the only Caribbean and one of two CBI countries that grant its citizens the right to apply for the US E-2 Visa. This means that those who get a Grenadian passport will be eligible to apply for American residency through the E-2 programme for a 5-year renewable period, a much quicker and more cost-effective route than the main US immigration routes, such as the EB-5 programme. As such, if individuals choose to go through this route, not only will they be able to have a Grenadian passport, but they also have the potential to receive American citizenship, which has been ranked the 7th most powerful in the world. We don’t have to say much about USA citizenship, but it provides access to over 180 countries visa-free/visa on arrival, including Australia, New Zealand, and the UAE. This would allow applicants the right to live, work and study in the USA.
One can clearly see the benefits that Grenadian citizenship can offer in terms of global mobility, but how much does it cost? Well, there are two options available. The first option is by making a one-time donation of $150,000 to the government-run National Transformation Fund (NTF). This cost increases to $200,000 if you want to add on an additional 3 applicants. This can include a spouse, your child, or a parent. The second option would be to buy into a government-approved real estate project at the starting price of $350,000 with a holding period of four years. Both of these options would allow applicants to receive Grenadian citizenship within 3-4 months, after which, you will become a global citizen.
